The Tri-Nation series between India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka, named
the Nidahas Trophy is starting from today i.e., 6th March 2018. The
first match of the series between India and Sri Lanka will start at 07
00 PM EST. All the matches will be available to watch live through

Nidahas Trophy is a tournament organized by Sri Lankan Cricket board in
celebration of Sri Lanka’s 70th year of Independence. The tournament
comprises of seven T20I matches between the participating nations,
India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Commencing from today the tournament
will continue up to 18th March 2018 ending with a final match between
the best teams.
The first match between India and Sri Lanka is deemed to be exciting as
all the senior players of India are given a rest for the tournament.
After quite a period of time, Indian team is as young as it can be and
will be lead by Rohith Sharma. Shikhar Dhawan will be assisting Rohith
Sharma as the Vice Captain. Besides these two players, Dinesh Karthik
and Suresh Raina are the only two senior players that are part of the
Indian squad in the Nidahas Trophy.
Many young players who possess a spectacular record in the Domestic and
First Class Cricket have been roped in to exhibit their skills in this
tournament. Batsmen like Rishabh Pant, Manish Pandey, Lokesh Rahul,
etc., Bowlers like Yuzvendra Chahal, Vijay Shankar, Mohammed Siraj,
Washington Sundar, etc., and all-rounder players like Axar Patel, etc.,
are some of the players who need a mention before the series starts.
While India already possesses the rock stars like Rohith Sharma, Shikhar
Dhawan, Suresh Raina, etc., the young players in the team can surprise

Sri Lankan team also comprises some of the young players like Amila
Aponso, Akila Dananjaya, Dhananjaya De Silva, and Kusal Mendis. While
some of these players are reputed in the Cricket world, some are
practically stranger to the world Cricket audience. Dinesh Chandimal
will be leading all these young players assisted by Suranga Lakmal. Sri
Lankan Cricket team comprises some of the best players of all time like
Thisara Perera, Dinesh Chandimal, Suranga Lakmal, and Upul Tharanga and
can put up a callous fight against India in today’s match.
